Scope: To create a report that shows geometric deformation to a steel structure.
We used IsoSteel and Decimator to analyse the geometry from a set of steel structures. The output was a 100-page definitive report into the geometry of the structure’s.
Exon Tech created a model consisting of flat planes and then analysed the point data – colouring the point’s in rainbow progression according to the deviation from the reference plane. This gives a fast interpretation of the data. Each image is supplied with a key that denotes the deviation value for each colour.
For more analysis, a 3D graph was created that plot’s the x and y axis on the plane of the paper – whilst the vertical displacement is done using the rainbow convention (with the associated key)
